If you have a budding young Marquez or Rossi riding around your back garden take note. Yamaha has launched the R3 bLU cRU European Cup as it aims to find motorcycle racing’s future world champions.

The Yamaha R3 bLU cRU European Cup will be a series of seven races that include the major grand prix and world superbike circuits, such as Jerez and Portimao with rounds in the Czech Republic, Italy, Sweden, France and Hungary. All riders will use the Yamaha YZF-R3 equipped with a race kit.

There will be an entry level class for riders from 13 to 19 years-old called the bLU cRU category, while an open class will give access to older riders. An all-inclusive package has been priced at €22,000 per rider, which includes registration, the motorcycle itself and assistance.

For the inaugural season the first 25 finishers in the overall standings will take home the YZF-R3. The overall top three of the bLU cRU category will be able to enter in the Yamaha bLU cRU world programme through the bLU cRU Masterclass, while for the winner of the Open Class will be the possibility to access the major category for the 2020 season.

Places are still available and can be secured via Yamaha dealers, or simply go to www.jircup.comfor more info.
